Rapid intervention for the public’s health,
against a global pandemic.
In 2009, a potentially deadly strain of H1N1 influenza spread rapidly across the globe. Our team worked closely with public health authorities (including CDC and HHS) to use Google’s important platform to respond.
In addition to straightforward messaging to remind people how to stay safe, we helped guide people to seasonal and (when available) H1N1 vaccines.
HHS and other entities could embed and take advantage of this straightforward intervention.
Ultimately working with the American Lung Association as a data provider for flu vaccine locations, we also planned to support mom & pop pharmacies, not just major chains.
